PENDLE AND CLITHEROE’S
OUTSPOKEN VOICE IN WESTMINSTER

I’ve been the MP for Pendle and Clitheroe since July 2024. From day one, I’ve been doing all I can to help local people, and standing up for our area in Parliament.
There’s a lot to fix, both here and across the country, and I’m working hard to deliver for Pendle and Clitheroe.
MY PRIORITIES
During the election campaign I set five local priorities, which I now focus on as your MP. Read more about them here:
-
I am focused on increasing wages and bringing down household bills.
-
I am pushing for more GPs and dentists, shorter waiting times, and better access to care locally.
-
Bring back neighbourhood policing and have a named officer in every community in Pendle and Clitheroe.
-
Bring good jobs back to Pendle and Clitheroe in sectors like manufacturing. Doing this by supporting apprenticeships and widening options for young people.
-
Improving public transport across Pendle and Clitheroe, including pushing for the reinstatement of the Skipton-Colne railway.

I grew up in grew up in Downham, at the foot of Pendle Hill, and I went to school in Clitheroe.
Before becoming your MP, I worked in policing for a decade, rising from constable to inspector, and saw first-hand how years of Conservative cuts hollowed out frontline services and left communities behind.
I came into politics because I know what isn’t working in our country, and I want to fix it. I’m here to stand up for ordinary people, rebuild the public services they rely on, and fight for a fairer deal for our area.
